Hi all, it's Owen. Mommy is catching up on some housework now that she's on a little break from school. I wanted to tell you about the fun adventures I've had this summer.
Not too long ago, Daddy rented a minivan and we all piled in for a long trip to Texas. Mommy and Daddy were a little on edge because it was a 15 hour trip and Micah still loathed her car-seat. (I know loath is a big word for a 4 year old , but I'm in pre-K now, and I've been working on my vocabulary)

Anyway, I thought the minivan was awesome, I got my own captain chair, there was a DVD player, and the doors slid open like on a spaceship! I asked if we could get one, but the parentals said no and then went on about dignity and trying to maintain what little bit of cool they had left. I don't see what the big fuss is about, how could driving around a spaceship not be cool?
Surprisingly the trip went smoothly, well from what I was told, we left late at night and when I woke up we were in Louisiana. First on our agenda, was football camp with my buddy Jimi. It was time for me to get these boys ready for their upcoming football seasons, it was hard work but I'm glad I had the opportunity to impact their playing skills.

After camp we went and caught up with some old friends from where we used to live and then headed up to the DFW so Micah could meet some of the family like our G.G. and Great Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. It was fun to get to see everybody, I mostly played in the pool while everybody ooh and ahhed over Micah. I see her everyday, I already know she is super cool.
After our family visit, we went to see my buddy Michael, his mommy and mine have been friends since high school. It was a lot of fun we sang some karaoke, (Michael and I are destined for record deals), and had some fun in the sun.
Sadly we had to get back on the road to head back home, but my Ya-Ya (Auntie) had arranged for me to attend a ninja camp on the way home. This was right up my alley, I have only been training in hopes of being welcomed into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle lair to be guided my Master Splinter, since FOREVER!
After bo staff training, jump kick training, and some strength and conditioning, I know I am now one step closer to ninj-awesome!
Well folks, that was just a quick wrap up of the best summer trip ever, I've got to go work on some sight words and simple addition and subtraction, a ninja must be smart too.
