4 Weeks and Cheeks

Ladies and gentlemen, we made it to the one month mark.  There have been no major meltdowns, Owen still adores his baby sister and hasn't asked that we trade her in, and I haven't dropped out of school so that I can stay home and spend all my time snuggling my little puddin'. Not that I don't consider doing just that about eleventy times a day.

That's the biggest bow you will ever catch me putting in her hair!

I had to be away  for the weekend for school, leaving Dave with both of the kiddos and the dogs too.  Even though I had my doubts, everyone survived.  I even got a full night of sleep and didn't  know what to do with  my newly found clarity and rested mind.
I don't know if it was residual hormones or whatnot, but I missed my little family something terrible. I literally was pining for home just a few hours after my arrival.  It didn't help that my weekend was crammed with tests and papers.

 So here's Micah's one month stats. She is 23.5 inches long, and 11 pounds of pure squishiness.  She's a very happy baby, loves to be snuggled and does not hesitate to let you know if you have stopped snuggling her sooner than she was ready.  She's sleeping in 4-5 hour intervals, so I am not a complete zombie, and takes a regular nap during the day.  She also has graced us all with a few smiles that were not associated with gas.

She is really making an effort to crawl, I'm going to be in big trouble when she becomes mobile.
