Mother nature even tried to put a damper on the big day. We had a huge thunderstorm and torrential rains for half of the day. I wasn't going to let some raging winds, lightning, and gallon sized raindrops stop me.
Even though I wasn't throwing a big party, I definitely wanted to give Owen a fun party. Lots of people suggested pinterest for ideas, I avoid that web page like the plague. There is way too much going on and I get overwhelmed. I feel like all those kids in school that were artsy got together and decided to post there clever little projects just to remind me that I don't have an artsy bone in my body.
Well, I showed them! It would not win a Food Network contest or anything, but it was yummy, and impressed a four year old, and that is good enough for me. Since Owen is the honorary fifth member of the Ninja Turtle team, what better cake than one that paid homage to their favorite food, pizza.
(I hope he didn't wish for another sibling.)
