Just One Day

After just giving birth, I personally feel that Mother's day should turn into Mother Appreciation Week.  For now I will accept just a day.  In the midst of giving myself a pat on the back on this particular holiday, I remembered the woman who helped mold me into the person I am today, and inspires me to be the very best for my children.

I mean she has truly blessed me. Not only by passing on her genetic good looks and brains, but by encouraging me to chase after my goals, and occasionally telling me to get over myself when I was having a pity party.

There aren't enough Hallmark cards and flowers in the world to tell her how much I love her and appreciate her.  Owen is kind of fond of her too. She's pretty awesome, and I can only hope to be as cool as her one day.

On a side note, I got to sleep in, while the boys made a fabulous brunch.  Owen picked out a balloon and flowers for me, and Dave got me...

A Pandora bracelet. This is a big deal people, keep in mind this is the man who got me a blanket for  Christmas!  Not so good with the romantic gifts, my guy, but I love him just the same.  All in all it was a wonderful day, and thanks to Owen and little Micah for making everyday Mother's Day.
