Easter

I have a confession to make... I was that mom who had to have the whole family in coordinating Easter outfits. I don't know what came over me, but I was obsessed! I'm a little ashamed. Owen was to be in something seersucker if it killed me, and if they would have had a suit and dress that matched for David and I, we would have been in it. I digress, we ended up in a similar color scheme, and I think it turned out well. I'll just have to custom order our outfits for next year. ;)




Not to forget the reason for the holiday, we went to the early service at our church and Owen was singing, clapping, and fellowshipping like a champ. I think, I mentioned this last Easter , but it should be mandatory to sing " Low In the Grave He Lay". I was so disappointed when that song was not on the program. Never the less, we received an awesome message about God's empty promise, play on words, but because the tomb was empty (like He promised) we can live. Love it!
We didn't get a chance to do an Easter egg hunt, it was grey and wet for the first half of the day. We opened Owen's Easter basket at his CeCe's house, after a wonderful meal. I made a cheesecake from scratch, and "Defeated Devil" eggs. ( I just didn't feel right calling them deviled on Easter) I imagined a lot more activity for Easter, but I enjoyed just spending time with friends and celebrating the greatest gift man has received. I hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Easter.
