Fanfare

Once upon a time, a long time ago,  in a not too distant land, there was a boy who loved to play football. His beautiful and smart Auntie was his biggest fan, after his parents of course. She loved to watch him play. This young boy grew and grew and right in front of her eyes turned into a football playing teenager, and then by legal terms a football playing man. We're talking  beefed up, covered in muscles everywhere except his ears and lips. (He may actually have muscles in his ears, it wouldn't be a surprise.) A school by the name of Southern Miss was blessed to get him in their corner. (See what I did there, he plays corner back)

Well, now that the Auntie has a family of her own, she's passed along the cheering responsibilities to her heirs. They've taken on their quest with fervor and thus far have done a wonderful job.   All are eager to see what the future holds for this talented athlete. It is sure to be filled with pick 6's, quarterback sacks, and jaw-dropping hits.

As his fans they've pledged to forever rise from their seats and cheer until their voices give out, biting their nails with anticipation every time his cleats hit the turf.  Call out all opposing players who even remotely touch his face mask, shake their heads in pity for those players who have the unfortunate luck to be tackled by him, and beam with pride every time an announcer credits him for a tackle on national television.

I sure hope I didn't embarrass my nephew too much. Here's to a great season,  Southern Miss to the Top!! Go Uno-Uno!!
