While We Were Away

So much has happened since my last post.  It's like we just fell off the face of the earth.  Well, our little family has been quite busy!  I was accepted to grad school for physical therapy, we moved to the other side of the U.S., oh and for those of you who may have missed it, I found out I was pregnant in the midst of all this.

Owen is going to be a big brother and get the little sister he's been asking for.

So we started a house search back in June and have been unsuccessful in finding "the" place.  I don't know what I was thinking trying to house search and balance school.  It's way more time consuming than it looks on HGTV.  Needless to say we have squished ourselves into an apartment in the meantime.

WORST THING EVER!!! I officially hate apartments.  Don't get me wrong, our apartment complex is really nice, but when you have two tall adults, a 3 year old "ninja in training" and two 45lb fur children, an apartment gets real small real quick.

It's a rubik's cube of moving boxes in our garage.

Our leasing office also neglected to inform us about the train behind our building until the day we signed the lease. Several times a day I have to remind myself that there is not a train coming through our master bedroom.  We were also blessed to move in under a family, that has a toddler with extremely strong vocals and can throw fits for 20 minutes without stopping. When she's not crying, I assume the rest of the family must be bowling in their apartment or herding cattle.
Oh yeah, the other reason apartment life stinks, the gutters fall on your car!

Overall it's a cozy place, it's been somewhat  fun living minimally, I'm happy we have our own space. Also, we can take our time searching for the right home.

So I took a break from studying for finals to type this.  It may be a week before you hear from me again, but I promise I am back and will be keeping you posted on this new chapter of our lives. Until next time.

Going to grad school near the beach has its advantages.
