My Funny Valentine

Valentine's.... it completely caught me by surprise this year. Not until I remembered that I needed to make Valentine's for Owen's classmates did I figure it out. That's right his daycare had a Valentine's party and all the kids gave each other valentines. ( I thought I at least had until kindergarten before I'd have to worry about that.) Owen and I made goody bags for his classmates, well, he mostly pulled everything out and crawled off with it. Finally we got them done and off to school they went.

Saturday morning I got up for my usual routine of working out and then studying at the library. When I got home, I completely missed that Owen and David had gotten me flowers. How sweet! My friend Kelsey came over to babysit, and Dave took me out to dinner. I have to be honest I kind of missed having Owen there. We were conveniently sitting next to a couple with a screaming child, which only made me miss Owen more. He is a pro at eating out, he never gets fussy. Mostly he's just attacking your plate for your food.


After dinner we rushed home to hang out with Owen before bedtime... and he is my little cupid. Those lips and cheeks.... my own personal cherub. All in all, though very low-key I had a wonderful Valentine's weekend with my two favorite boys!
