I was very anxious about the flight, and how Owen was going to handle it, but I nursed him on the way up and on the way down, and he slept the rest of the time. He's quite the little traveler, we walked through the never ending Atlanta terminal, took a ride on the airport tram, and he was great. He did fantastic on the flight back as well.
The only person who didn't do so well was Dave. Poor guy, he wasn't quite ready to have the two of us gone for that long. However, he survived, after a few days of calling me every ten minutes he began to calm down. :)

First on the agenda was lots of good ol' quality time with my parents. My mom refuses to have any pictures of herself on my blog. ( I think it has something to do with her modeling contracts or something) :) My mom and dad got to hang out with little Owen, and actually babysat him for me on Saturday while I was at my friend Casey's shower. I was anxious for the first part of the day without him, but I knew he was in good hands.
My sister and her family came in Saturday while I was away, and it was the first time my brother in law and two nephews got to meet Owen. My oldest nephew lost interest pretty quick, he's a teenager, so he had better things to do . But my youngest nephew thought Owen was pretty cool. My niece just kept saying, "Owen's such a beautiful baby". What can I say she's a smart girl! My sister got some great pics of the little guy too.

Later in the week I drove to Macon to meet my dear friend Bethany and her sweet baby boy Jackson. I haven't seen her since my wedding, and hadn't seen Jackson in person yet. I think the two boys hit it off, and Bethany and I had lots to catch up on. When I finally get back to Georgia I think our two kiddos are going to be double trouble.
It was utterly impossible to get a picture with everyone looking at the camera.
Over all it was a great trip, my trips to Georgia always are! I am so glad I got to be with my family, and see some friends. Until next time, I'll have Georgia on my mind!

I just actually said out loud, "oh my goodness, she is already tiny!". You look GREAT!
ReplyDeleteI am sooo glad you got to go back to GA! I am in AL right now w/ my momma and it makes me sooo sad to think I will be heading back to Utah in a week. FAR from home, FAR from the south. :o(
I saw the pic of your nephew holding O and I got nervous and misread that HE babysat...but it was really just your mom/dad. LOL I have no idea why I got nervous?!
Thanks for sharing pics of your precious boy!!
Bekki,
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up, I love that you got nervous! So funny! I wish I would have been thinking, we could have met up depending on where in Alabama you were, oh well. I know how you feel, it's tough being so far from home and family.
