One Month

Owen was officially one month old on June 19th. I know I know, I am a little behind on the posts.
It was a very busy week for us. He continues to be a great baby! As you can tell by the pictures, he's not missing any meals. He will go in for his one month check up later this week, and then I can update his stats. He's still not on a schedule, but usually wakes up around 10am and then stays pretty alert until about 2pm with a few short naps in that time frame. That partly explains why I've been absent from the blogger world.

Ok, so here are the things Owen has accomplished in his first month.
- He can lift his head and move it from side to side
-Stares at new objects for short periods of time
-He's alert 4-6+ hours of the day
- Grasps objects when put near his hands
- Digs heels in to move his body forward
- Recognizes Mommy's voice, and quiets momentarily when he hears it (love it)
-Follows objects with eyes, especially Mommy's face
-Rolls from back to side, and side to back

I'm sure there are things that I'm forgetting, or that I just don't realize are a big deal for babies. He currently loves riding in the car and being carried in his sling. He hates diaper changes, and baths. It seems like his favorite songs are Rise and Shine and Give God Glory ( I sing it when he wakes up in the morning) and Sweet Pea, by Amos Lee, I ran out of lullabies and started singing him contemporary music.
